The Road Ahead

In 2002, CIL added its third 1.5 million tpa DRI module. By the end of 2003, CIL operated DRI plants, an EAF-based steel-making plant, continuous casting facilities and a high-speed rolling mill.

It produced wire rods for use in a wide range of industrial applications, including the manufacture of welding electrodes, cables, chains, springs, fasteners, wire strands and wire ropes, pre-stressed concrete strands, tyre beads, as well as in the construction industry...
